Oshun Energy and Space Clearing Serendipity

One of the things that I focused on in my sabbatical from writing and work with my energy business was paying attention to the signs the Universe was sending me and honestly

applying that information to my life moving forward.  I applied this operating credo to my whole life including my work life.  After more meditation and focus after my return from Bahia, Brazil, I decided that it was time to focus my work life where my heart now is and work full time towards my energy and intuition business.  Why?  Because at this point, I choose to live my life guided by my intuition and information from the Universe and use my skills to help others do the same.  I made that decision the end of September, and within days I had 4 totally unsolicited requests to do house clearings, and 100% energetic based function.  Therefore, I’m adding house and residential space clearing to the list of services offered by Oshun Energy Medicine, through offers as Oshun Energy Space Clearing.

The why of my interest in space clearing dates back years to a friend’s visit during the time she was grieving the loss of her beloved dog.  Although we had our usual fun times during her visit to Seattle, she was still deeply sad about the loss of her dog, who had been a steady and devoted companion for years.  It was only after she left, and things began going bump in the closet of the room where she stayed that I realized I had a problem.  The problems and oddities spread to the rest of the house and spurred me to contact a friend who knew of a reiki practitioner who also cleared houses.

She came and did her energetic, smudging and musical/vibrational work, and made my house a place of peace and harmony once again.  She also asked me if I had thought of getting some reiki training to manage my personal energy.  It turns out that the whole energetic disruption of my home was made more acute by the fact that I was an untrained and unshielded energy sensitive.  Essentially the combination of the energetic disturbance and “emotional anchors” left by my grieving friend were magnified by my own personal energy and resulted in things moving themselves and falling throughout my house. I also quickly got that reiki training she suggested and found a new motivation and explanation about the intuitive skills I’ve had my whole life.

I found out that what happened to me was classic. Big emotional scenes and situations leave energetic echoes and anchors, which cause echoes of the energy to resonate in the space where the emotional scene occurs.  Remember, emotions are literally Energy in Motion. Every place where highly charged emotions are expressed, or where highly emotional situations occur has the potential to leave these residual emotional energetic echoes and anchors behind.  Think about how a room feels when you enter it after someone has had a loud or violent argument.  How did the room feel?  How did you feel after staying in the space?  If you are like most people, the negative energies and emotions likely made you feel negative emotions, like sadness, anger, or extreme discomfort.  Sometimes these echoes can cause people to leave the scene of an argument for days to weeks after it occurs.  For repetitive negative interactions or arguments, the energy can remain in the space or room for years.  Energies like this in a home can result in the occupants feeling the residual effects of that energy, and have the negative energies color their experiences also.  An easily understood example is the energy generated at a sporting event or a musical performance, where thousands of fans express their joy in their favorite team or artist over a period of hours, and that energy generates still more positive adulation and energy.  As much as negative energy colors a space, positive energy has the same potential to leave positive energetic echoes around. 

After my initial experience with having someone clear my house, and having my full reiki training, I became skilled at doing my own energy clearing in my home.  I regularly smudge, do energy and vibrational work (Tibetan bowls), and use crystals to keep my house calm, peaceful and positive. The use of the crystals, while optional, provides extra protection and energy to keep my home space positive and peaceful, and is generally recommended for the residences of all energy sensitives, since it is impossible to be energetically aware of everything and everyone entering your home 100% of the time. I routinely have home repair people remark at how calm and welcoming my house feels.  The space clearing is my secret sauce, and I’m excited to offer space clearing as a service.  When I mentioned my intent to friends and family who had requested me to clear their home or commercial spaces, they applauded my decision and volunteered their enthusiastic recommendation, so stay tuned for a new page on my website.   The space clearing is a service in addition to, not instead of, my work in surgery coaching, and something that is a fun passion for me to add to my business offerings.  It is so enjoyable for me to help clear problematic spaces, and I am truly excited to be able to offer this additional service with my business, realizing there is a real need for this energetic service.
